June is a sweet, cuddly, active, silly pyr. She's a year & 4 months old based on info from her former family. She and her sister were abandoned when their family moved away and left them to run loose in rural Texas. Her sister was hit by a car and didn't make it.
Despite her life tragedies, she is a loving, playful and sweet dog who just wants to be cuddled. She's a big puppy who missed out on having a family who would love the big fluff puppy that she is.
She was thin, weighing only 65# when she came into care, and is working on getting up to her ideal weight of 70-75#.
June is housetrained and knocks to come in/out. She knows how to sit. She walks well on leash with no pulling. She is also very polite in the kitchen with no counter surfing. She is not a fan of being crated; she wants to be with people. That said, she is crated when her foster family is not home.
Understandably, cars are a bit stressful to her, but she's working on building up her car courage by taking trips with her foster family to Starbucks for a croissant.
June has been fine with her foster cats since day 1 with no issues.
She takes her job as a pyr seriously. She gets along and plays well with her 2 big foster dogs, but her pyr nature may not be the best match for dogs who are super alpha and not used to puppy energy.
June's ideal family would be active enough to give her opportunities to run and play daily, and chill enough to give her lots of time to cuddle with them.
June deserves the best family who will keep her safe, happy and very loved. She's amazing.
