Introducing Kia!  Kia is one Daisy’s pups of the “Kia” litter from the large rescue from the summer. This litter is Pyrenees/Akbash/Maremma/Anatolian mix and her DOB is June 26.  Kia is a sweet girl and fiercely independent, who doesn’t scare easily.  She will be big girl and has all the right traits for a wonderful WORKING LGD, she has had exposure to chickens, small dogs and a farm life.  She has a sweet disposition and yet wants to run wild which may be why she is not a fan of crate training.  Regardless, she can sleep through the night about 6-7 hours without accidents in her crate!  Her current foster is working on some basic commands such as “down” and “touch” and she is very smart, even learning how to tell her foster pyrents when she needs to go out!  She is still a puppy so will need to learn about typical puppy nipping as well as other puppy needs such as walking on a leash and jumping.  Kia will be available to pick up end of Oct so get your apps in now !

OUR REQUIREMENTS FOR PUPPY ADOPTION:

1) PUPPIES WILL ONLY BE PLACED IN HOMES THAT HAVE AT LEAST ONE MEDIUM TO LARGE YOUTHFUL, PLAYFUL RESIDENT DOG that is age 1 or older. This helps integrate the dog into your household easier by giving the pup a mentor.

2) These puppies could be adopted to farms and homesteads with experience training LGDs. They also must be family pets that are allowed inside the home.

3) In addition to the youthful playful dog, someone must also be home at least part of the day. Please do not apply for a puppy if you are gone 8+ hours a day.

4) We give preference to applicants with prior Great Pyrenees knowledge/experience.

5) Secure and visible fencing required.

6) You must have a plan in place to socialize your puppy properly.

Adoption Fee: $325

All of our puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on age appropriate vaccinations. 

We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6.

Transport Fee: $350

Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport.
