Meet CHIP! Chip Is a one-year-old pyr mix, he weighs 56lbs and is on the smaller side. He was pulled from a shelter in October and was in bad shape, clearly a very neglected pup. He was skin and bones with his eyes sunken and dejected with terrible skin disease due to mistreatment. He is now a wonderful, sweet doggie. He is not destructive inside or outside of the home. He is crate and potty trained. He sometimes will bark if you are too slow in getting his food or wants to go out! He was very nervous about car rides at first but now that he understands that car rides can be good, he is no longer nervous about them. He sleeps in his crate or on a doggie at night. He plays with male and female dogs and both big and small dogs. Cats are an unknown. Would recommend older children as he might not understand a small child grabbing him. He has been in training and knows how to walk on a leash, sit command, stay command, and working on lay down. He does not jump up on his humans and will sit patiently for his goodie. He loves all food and goodies and is food motivated but not food aggressive. He would be a great hiking or running partner. He is medium energy not hyper but not low energy. He came looking so miserable and giving up on life and now to see him transform into a happy, healthy, confident boy is so rewarding and exciting for him. His sparkling smile and his confidence set him apart and he is ready for his forever loving home! His ideal home could be a family, a couple, or a single person. He just wants to be with you, be loved on, be part of the family, and some walks or activity on a daily basis. Chip is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport!
