Blizzard is a 1-2 year old male Pyrenees weighing 95lbs. GPPR saved him from euthanasia, and we are so glad we did because is truly a gentle giant! He is not destructive inside or outside. He hardly ever barks unless he thinks he is getting left out of a treat, which, of course, never happens!!! He rides great once in the car but if the car sits up high you might have to help him get into a high riding SUV. He is potty trained and sleeps in a doggie bed and is not at all destructive at night in the home. He is a big teddy bear! He walks well on a leash and knows sit, stay, and come. He does not jump on people and he takes treats gently but if he gets overexcited he understands the command “nice” or “gentle.” He is super dog friendly with both males and females and with both big and small dogs. He loves all people, including children. He has been going to work with his foster and everyone loves him. He is a big baby and a total sweetheart. He is not a high energy dog; medium to low energy and would love walks but not long hikes or running. Of course, with his breed, he will patrol the perimeter of your yard so must have good fencing or he will wander out. He loves to just be with his humans and chill out. He is crate trained but really does not like the crate. He is such a well-behaved dog that he is fine without a crate. Due to his long beautiful white coat, grooming is a must for this sweet baby and the groomers said he did great even with nail trimming! His ideal family could be a single person that took him everywhere with them or could be a family with or without children. He is a big white furry sweetheart of a guy and ended up in the shelter at no fault of his own because he was “too big”. Blizzard is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport.
