The first thing people ask when they meet me is “What's wrong with her paw?” so let's get that out of the way. I have a cleft paw. It doesn't hurt and it mostly doesn't bother me at all. I can run and walk fine, albeit with a limp. Having a cleft paw is useful at times. When I put my paw on you to get your attention, it is harder for you to ignore the big paw. Same thing when I play with other dogs and give them a playful swat. I am also great at standing on my back legs to catch toys when they are thrown. It's like I have my very own catcher's mitt. I am a very pretty girl, as you can see from my pictures. I am very athletic. I love jumping and running. I enjoy going for walks and if you are my forever family, I will be one sad girl if you don't take me for at least one walk every day. When I imagine the perfect home for me, I imagine a big yard to play in. One thing I really like inside the house is jumping on the couch. I like to jump on, jump off, jump on again, flip and spin, then flop and plop. I won't like a home with a “no dogs on the furniture” rule. I have excellent house manners for the most part. I have put my paws on the kitchen counters to sniff the bread a few times, but I did not help myself to anything up there. I sometimes bounce on the beds where the humans sleep. I am very sweet and super snuggly. I love to cuddle and I also follow my foster mom around the house. I am not like a velcro dog because I don't have to be attached to her, but I like to be in the same room. I would like a big, playful dog in my forever home. I love to play!! I need a dog who is pretty tolerant of other dogs. Sometimes I am a little pushy, and a bit overbearing. I am not mean when I am pushy, but I do things that might cause some dogs to take offense. I push my foster brother to get out the door first, and sometimes at the water bowl I insist on ladies first. I wouldn't mind living with a cat. I can't remember if I ever lived with one before, but I met a couple of them at a friend's house and they weren't really that interesting. I wouldn't mind living with children as long as they were sturdy enough that I wouldn't run them over when I get the zoomies. I have some separation anxiety. My new family absolutely must have a plan on how to help me with that. I am a sweet girl who can’t wait to find my forever home! Ariel is currently being fostered in Klamath Falls, OR.
