Lyra is a gorgeous 2 year-old Pyrenees/Akbash mix. She displays traits from both breeds and her color is a beautiful mix of white and gray. She is house trained, crate trained, non-destructive and does great while left home alone. She loves a brisk walk/run and though she still needs leash training, she does well as long as her handler is assertive and dominant. Lyra is a show-stopper at 110 lbs. Her new owner should be confident in taking on a large and strong-willed dog. She has lived with toddlers and infants in her previous home and does well with people of all ages. Lyra loves to play with other dogs, no matter their size or gender. Lyra is a medium-energy dog who needs either another dog to play with or a couple long walks/runs a day to keep her active and happy. She does well living with other dogs or being the only dog in her home. Lyra is a very friendly dog with no aggressive tendencies, but she effectively protects her people with her loud bark. Her foster family is working on teaching Lyra that she doesn’t have to bark at neighbors walking past or other dogs on walks, but she’s still learning. She loves to be petted and loved by anyone and everyone. Lyra knows basic commands and has good manners, sitting and going into her crate when told. She sleeps through the night and whines when she needs to go out. Lyra has been a wonderful dog in her foster home and would do well in any home. Lyra is currently being fostered in Portland, OR.

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. 

Adoption Fee: $350

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Transport Fee: $300

Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport.
