Meet Skye, a two and a half year old loyal, loving Great Pyr. Those fortunate enough to meet her immediately note her calm demeanor, and trusting sniffs. She absolutely loves people, knowing "pets" are on the way. She will offer her renowned sad puppy dog face or a paw to get strokes of her furry head, pets behind her ears, and maybe even a belly rub. One of Skye's favorite pastimes is snoozing the day away. The cold, hard floor or her large crate are the equivalent of a fancy memory foam mattress. Walks are where she exerts her energy and curiosity. She is good on leash, other than a bit of 'zig zagging', and occasional leaping for a neighborhood squirrel or rabbit. She will stop every few feet to intently sniff, so if you're a runner, be prepared to have to pull her along versus her pulling you. Skye is eager to please when treats or food time are involved, immediately sitting and staring at you with intent eyes. Skye would need a household where she is an only dog, she is not very dog friendly, and limited socialization with other dogs. She also would love a home where she can run around outside, and have loads of options to take a nap when she isn't receiving hugs and pets. She is extremely loving, and would make for a fantastic family dog. Skye is currently being fostered in Seattle, WA.
