Gerdie is a gorgeous two year old Pyr mix who enjoys patrolling her property while gracefully galloping and barking to let everyone know she is working!   She is a happy- go- lucky girl who loves to show you how smart she is by following your commands and quickly learning new ones.  She is very treat motivated.  Gerdie also shows off her intelligence by pushing the envelope to see if you notice she is doing things she knows she shouldn't be doing.  Two of her favorite envelope pushing activities are counter surfing and playfully jumping on people.  When she is caught, she chuckles a little inside and replies, “Can't blame me for trying!”   Gerdie has great ideas about how to run your household so a confident leader with clear and consistent expectations is essential.

Gerdie is a leaner and a talker.  She loves attention and pets from all people.  She has a silly side and makes her people laugh by playing with her toys, rolling in the grass, or shredding pieces of cardboard she is given as a special treat.  In her current home, she loves when her easy going doggy playmates come to visit.  They romp around together and then settle down to chew some bones.  She has lived as an only dog and with another dog in the home.  Because she can be a little pushy at times, she does best with tolerant companions.  She would especially like living with a laid back, tolerant Livestock Guardian Dog breed friend. Gerdie walks great on a leash with a front hooking harness, is fully house trained, and is used to being crated if needed.  Gerdie can get chatty when other dogs pass her property or if she meets them on a walk which could sound a bit bossy.  In reality, it’s all good natured and she’s just telling everyone how great it is to be alive!  Gerdie is currently being fostered in Shelton, WA.

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.
