Howdy!  I’m Basil.  I’m a very sweet girl and I’m around 2 to 3 years old.  I frequently do things that make my foster family smile and laugh.  Sometimes, it’s the way I look at a lizard climbing up a wall or it might be my expression when I see something new like a helicopter flying in the sky. 
I’m still learning a lot about the world around me, but I’ve come a long way so far.  I enjoy taking short breaks during the day to learn new manners.  I know “sit”, “stay”, “come”, and “down”.   I’m still trying to understand “crate”, but I do know “shake” and “curtsy". I like to chase multiple balls on the ground at the same time and knock them around with my paws.  It’s even better if you run around with me.  I also have a calm side, where I’m just content carrying a toy in my mouth or lying down on the ground.  It’s my nature to do periodic checks around the house, indoors and outdoors, to see what’s hanging around and I may bark to let you know if I see people and animals nearby so you can check them out too. My favorite things are belly rubs and scratches behind my ears. I would do great with a family with no small children, but I’m comfortable around teenagers.  Basil is currently being fostered in Texas but can be on the next NW transport!

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.
