Hey there, I’m Heidi. My foster mom thinks maybe I should be named Annie ‘cause I remind her of some movie about a spunky orphan. She says when she looks at my happy, hopeful face, she hears a song about the sun will come up tomorrow. Well, uh yeah. I may be only 1 ½ years old, but even I know that. The orphan thing makes sense, I guess. My old parents dumped me in a Texas kill shelter, and I’ve been through some scary stuff. But ya’ know what, that’s all done. I’m in a great home in the pacific northwest, and I gotta say, I love it here. It’s sooooo much cooler, and green! Foster Mom also says if I had a motto, it would be fake it till you make it. She says underneath all my happy and confident I’m a little insecure and unsure. Maybe I am, and maybe I’m not, but I know I’ll get past that (the sun will come up tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar). Anyhoo. I’m looking for my forever home. My favorite things are, in no particular order: mealtime (mom says I’m skinny), walks, loves & cuddles, bones and playing. I really love playing! I’ll try and play with anyone. Don’t worry, though, If you don’t know how, I can teach you. Maybe we can swap. You could teach me some basic stuff. I learn real quick, but sometimes rules are confusing! Apparently, I’m not supposed to jump up on humans and give them hugs. That one’s a puzzler. I mean, who doesn’t like hugs. Hope to meet you soon!  Heidi is currently being fostered in Bothell, WA.
