Meet Duchess! Duchess is a sweet 3 year old, 90 pound Great Pyrenees rescued from a property in the PNW along with other dogs. She is very loving and loves to be pet and brushed (except for her haunches and tail). She is a very gentle soul who is also very protective of "her" property, as evident from her barking and typical of this breed. She loves to be outside to patrol her property, especially at night, although she is NOT trained with livestock. Duchess walks well on a leash, is picky about her treats (gotta have those high value morsels  ready!) and would prefer smaller dogs or to be an only dog. She may know some commands and can be easily redirected, but typical of Great Pyrenees, she may or may not listen! She has shown some resource guarding of high value items and true to her breed, likes to dig! She is house trained and respectful of cats if they don't run. Her foster family says she is a joy to have around and she is very deserving of her own loving family. Duchess needs and will thrive with a family who understand and embrace Pyrenees traits, provide her with safety, positive reinforcement, and loving care. 

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations. 

We do not adopt to families with children under the age of 6. 

Adoption Fee: $225

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations.

Transport Fee: $350

Transport fee includes the cost of transport plus the Health Certificate required for USDA approved transport.

Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.
