Hi, I’m Dixon. I was almost goners in Texas until a kind-hearted lady saved me. Now, I’m safe Portland, OR with my foster parents. They think I look a little like Scooby Doo. I’m definitely into Scooby snacks! Even though I’m not Scooby Doo, there are mysteries I want to solve. For instance, where is my forever home and what will my family be like? Maybe my new parents would like to know what mix I am...that’s a mystery that would be fun to solve! I like my foster parents a lot. I show it by going wherever they are – couches, beds, bathrooms, or the car (it’s ok if it’s not the mystery machine) …they’re there so I’m there too! There are two resident doggies at my foster home. They are both older than me but I’m bigger! I ask them to play all the time. It’s no mystery puppies like to play, play, play! Maybe I am more like Scrappy Doo? When we play ball together, I like to take the ball and hide it. My resident pooches don’t like this version of “ball”, but I know if I keep showing them my version, they will come around. Is it time for a Scooby snack yet? Speaking of food, I do a good job of letting my people eat even though their food smells tasty. I just sit on my special blanket and don’t bother them. One mystery we do NOT need to solve is, any missing food from the counters...no clues to be found. It must be ghosts. Zoinks! All the Scooby snacks make me thirsty, so I drink lots of water. When it’s time for potties, my foster doggos always go outside. I do too...just like a big boy! I like having doggies to play with but also show me the ropes. I do very well when I get some outside time or good walks. There was a fire or something, so I’m stuck inside the house for now. Sometimes, I try to show everyone how good I am at playing outside by playing inside the same way...it’s fun! I am eating things that are very good for me (including bugs). Now, I weigh over 60 pounds and seem very strong. I am trying to adjust to my new doggie strength, but don’t totally have it down yet. I can’t wait to show more people and more doggies how much I am learning! I can learn even more. How much more? It’s a mystery! Dixon is currently being fostered in Portland OR.
