Bobby is house trained, crate trained, non-destructive and does great while home alone. He's a 6 year old, ~100 pound Lab/Pyr mix and displays traits from both breeds. He loves to go on long walks or hikes, and does absolutely amazing on a leash. Bobby would do great either being an only dog or living with other dogs. Bobby is very sensitive and shy when it comes to new people and doesn’t like to be petted or approached by someone he hasn’t met before, which leads him to bark or snap. For this reason, Bobby must go to a home without young kids and his adopters must have prior dog experience. His adopters must be committed to the transition period of 2-3 weeks that it takes Bobby to adjust. Once past his fear, Bobby opens up to be an entirely different character - he adores being petted by his people and will nuzzle or paw for attention. Bobby hasn’t been exposed to cats, but likes horses and other dogs. He knows basic commands and does great with cars and stairs. His activity level is calm and mellow inside the house, but he’s always down for a run or miles of walking; he’s working on losing some weight, but is having no problems with it! He loves to be brushed and does great with nail clippings. Since being in his foster home, Bobby has proven himself to be very affectionate, obedient, protective and loving. Bobby is currently being fostered in Portland, OR.  

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing. All current pets in adoptive home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Northwest adopter pays cost of transport to independent transport company.  Transport is arranged by GPPR.
