Elaine puts the special in “special needs” with her beauty and soulful eyes. We believe she was loved by someone because she came into rescue already spayed. She found herself in a shelter, we suspect having been hit by a car. She had a scar on her leg and is believed to have had a head injury which caused her Diabetes Insipidus. This causes her body to be unable to process water correctly, so she takes a simple squirt of nasal spray medicine twice a day to help her. This sweet girl was completely shut down emotionally and has now blossomed to wagging her tail, interacting with our family and dogs. With the quarantine, she has been limited from acclimating to strangers, but we are working on that. Elaine is about 5-6 years old at 85lbs. If you are looking for an easygoing, lay around the house, low key companion that loves belly rubs and being brushed, Elaine is your girl. She will show you loyalty and devotion and deserves the same. Elaine is currently in Texas but can be on the next NW transport! All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing.
