Medical & Behavioral needs

We have some dogs that come in to our rescue that require some special attention.

Some dogs come into our rescue with special needs ranging from severe joint issues, skin allergies and other medical, as well as behavioral challenges that may require additional care.  We do our best to prepare most of these dogs for adoption and others will be identified as dogs that will stay in rescue permanently.  Our medical team is working hard designing a process to ensure all dogs in our rescue receive the best care.  We're currently building a behavioral team which will include reputable trainers collaborating with us, volunteers with training experience, and skilled foster families willing to modify their environment and work with the team to help the dog be the best dog he/she can be! If you would like to share your home and heart with a Pyr that has medical or behavioral needs – either as a foster or as an adoptive home – please fill out the application below.  You can also sponsor a Pyr with special needs by sponsoring your favorite through donations – just click on our Paypal link and make sure you put the Pyr you are sponsoring in the comments.
